1. Customer Agreement
By submitting your PEV for service, you confirm you have read and agree to this Service & Repair Policy, including the £15 minimum non-refundable diagnostic charge.
2. Inspection Before Work Begins
All PEVs are subject to a £15 non-refundable diagnostic inspection before any work is carried out. This includes checks for:
- Water ingress
- Previous repairs or modifications
- Battery condition and wiring safety
- Structural damage
- General electrical safety
We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.
3. Customer Responsibility for Condition of Vehicle
You confirm that, to the best of your knowledge:
- The vehicle has not been submerged in water
- The battery has not been tampered with or modified
- There are no undisclosed electrical faults
- Any previous repairs or modifications have been disclosed to us
Powered Up PEV is not responsible for faults caused by previous damage, water ingress, corrosion, or unauthorised modifications discovered during or after service.
4. Battery & Electrical Risk Disclaimer
Lithium battery systems carry inherent fire and safety risks.
By submitting your PEV, you acknowledge:
- Your vehicle contains a lithium battery system
- There is a risk of failure, fire, or further damage during inspection or repair
- Powered Up PEV cannot be held liable for battery failure or fire resulting from pre-existing faults or damage
5. No Warranty on Customer-Supplied or Modified Parts
We do not provide warranty on:
- Customer-supplied parts
- Modified electronics or wiring
- Third-party battery packs
- DIY or previously repaired components
6. Diagnostic, Labour Charges & Minimum Fee
All vehicles are subject to a minimum £15 diagnostic inspection fee.
This fee covers:
- Initial safety inspection
- Electrical and battery safety checks
- Assessment for water ingress, corrosion, and prior modifications
- Time spent diagnosing faults
The £15 diagnostic fee is non-refundable and applies even if you choose not to proceed with the repair.
If you approve the work, this £15 will be credited as up to 15 minutes of labour towards simple or quick fixes.
If the work requires more time, standard labour charges will apply at a rate of TBC
Labour charges apply to time spent diagnosing, disassembling, testing, and reassembling your PEV
7. Hidden Faults
Electric PEVs often have hidden issues that are not visible until disassembly.
If additional faults are found, we will contact you with a revised quote before continuing.
8. Waterproofing Disclaimer
Most electric skateboards, scooters, bikes and EUCs are not waterproof.
Powered Up PEV is not responsible for failures caused by water ingress discovered during or after service.
9. Shipping, Return, On-Site Visits & Unpaid Work
As an online service provider, most vehicles must be shipped to and from Powered Up PEV at the customer’s expense and risk.
Powered Up PEV is not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs during shipping to or from our workshop.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the PEV is packaged safely and appropriately for transport, especially where lithium batteries are involved.
Return shipping will only be arranged once all diagnostic, labour, parts, and return postage costs have been paid in full.
If payment is not received within 7 days of completion or quotation refusal, storage fees may apply and the vehicle may be returned at the customer’s expense.
In some cases, Powered Up PEV may offer home, roadside, or on-site assistance.
This is offered at our discretion, subject to location, availability, and an additional call-out fee. On-site visits do not remove the requirement for the £15 minimum diagnostic charge and standard labour rates apply.
10. Test Riding
All vehicles are test ridden after repair for safety and function.
By agreeing to service, you consent to Powered Up PEV riding your vehicle for testing purposes.
11. Limitation of Liability
Powered Up PEV’s liability is strictly limited to the cost of the service performed.
We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing faults
- Battery failure
- Fire damage
- Loss of use
- Loss of earnings
- Further component failure due to age or wear
12. Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.
