Service and repair policy
We inspect and diagnose the equipment first, then explain the recommended repair and likely cost before further work proceeds.
The £15 diagnostic charge covers the initial inspection and fault diagnosis. Any repair, servicing or upgrade after diagnosis is charged separately as workshop labour plus any parts or materials required.
1. Inspection and diagnosis. Every non-fixed-price fault request starts with a £15 diagnostic inspection. We inspect the equipment and diagnose the reported issue before confirming the recommended next step.
2. Labour and parts after diagnosis. The £15 diagnostic covers the initial inspection only. Any further service or repair is charged as workshop labour plus the cost of any parts, materials, shipping, collection or delivery required. We will seek agreement before carrying out work outside an already purchased fixed-price service.
3. Additional or hidden faults. Damage, wear, previous repairs, unsupported modifications or additional faults may only become clear during inspection or disassembly. These can change the price, parts required and timescale. We will contact you when the agreed scope needs to change.
4. Product information and modifications. You must tell us about non-standard batteries, controllers, firmware, wiring, water ingress, crash damage and previous repairs. Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect whether the equipment can be handled safely.
5. Right to refuse equipment or stop work. Powered Up PEV reserves the right to refuse to accept, inspect, diagnose, store or work on any equipment, or to stop work already started, for any reason. This may include safety concerns, contamination, unsupported or unsafe modifications, parts availability, product condition, suspected unlawful ownership or unacceptable conduct.
6. Handover, delivery and collection. Drop-off, shipping, collection, call-out and storage arrangements are agreed for the individual job. Remove personal items and package shipped equipment securely. Charges already incurred for diagnosis, approved work, parts, shipping or storage remain payable.
